Riiiight. You just ***** about everything else. Got it. Clear as mud.

I'm not letting you off that easy. What have "we" done to take American Indians' lands, pride and way of life? I'd also note that the Indians were far more victim to European sickness that they did not have the immune system for than they were greed or profit. Also, "money" mentioned in the asinine banality, is nothing more than a medium of exchange. It is how societies place worth, or value on things. If someone is hungry met someone who needed clothes, they could exchange a chicken for a pair of pants, but it's not quite as efficient. I've yet to see a food shortage amongst developed nations that cut down trees and fish.

Well, there was that whole genocide thing where we decimated their population and used the military to forcibly move them onto the crappiest land we could find.......Yes, it was a couple generations ago, but it's hard to bounce back from when you have no resources and discrimination & poverty prevent you from getting a higher education.

The idea of the quotation (which I love BTW Kathy) is that monetary wealth or profit is worthless when you have destroyed your natural resources and are left w/ nothing but a stack of cash.

I don't understand your food shortage comment - people are starving everywhere.

Wow. some of the comments made here could be fox! ALL SPIN all the time! Those that cut down the trees, do not replant unless made to do so. Commercial fishing strips the sea, and without regard for "collateral damage". With your money you probably never see the hungry in this country, or the poverty of the Indian. It exists...no matter how you spin it!

The ?whole genocide thing? was mostly before the Revolution, and all well beyond 100 years ago. I?m not taking personal responsibility for that. What resources are not available, and what discrimination and poverty is preventing American Indians from obtaining a higher education? Are they not allowed to obtain student loans? Are they not given preferential treatment among college applicants? It is past time white folks get over their feelings of guilt for their own success. It is time to stop the soft bigotry of low expectations. Force all people to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and become productive members of society, rather than offering racist patronization, which you are doing now. ?It?s hard to bounce back? ? that is bullsh** racist low expectations.

I know and understand the idea of the quotation, I?m just saying that it?s nonsense. Money, as a medium of exchange, is worthless if there is nothing to exchange it for. The statement is a red herring.

People are not starving everywhere. The obesity problem is far, far worse among the poor of developed nations than starving or even hunger.

Beemn, I?d love to argue with you, but I?m amazed that your limited intellectual ability even allows you to log onto a computer and respond to my post. Before my dad retired, he had to have his secretary print out his email once people started sending it to him, and he?s a very bright fellow. Kudos.

I wish you realized just how outstanding that "p.s." response is. Or at least realized why it is so outstanding. Good work.

Psssssssssss!

Why don't you just put up something like this "That little boy is driving well and he's putting well. He's doing everything it takes to win. So, you know what you guys do when he gets in here? You pat him on the back and say congratulations and enjoy it and tell him not serve fried chicken next year. Got it? ...or collard greens or whatever the hell they serve."

You'd probably get some comments on that.
