My diet became very important to me at an early age...now I am addicted to food...good food. Not much on fast foods, or junk...though I do like fried...it's all in how you fry it that will make the difference. Use alot of Olive Oil..Very little butter. Pay attention when you eat out on 30A, most cook right...just add some fatty to it. We use alot of Avocadoes on 30A...it practically goes along with lettuce and tomatoe...or better yet substitutes it.

Enjoy the change..welcome it...it was a great adventure for me...still is. Don't be shy to ask any chef how they would fatty up a meal that you have just eaten.

As for the potatoes for breakfast...I am also addicted to this too! It eat home style hash browns regulary/daily. Trash plate style is my favorite (always has sausage or bacon in it). Simply put anything and everything that sounds good in it...top off with a very little bit of cheese and stir to perfection! (Mushrooms, Onions, Tomatoes/Salsa, etc...). Just watch that you don't eat late at night of course, and eat things that you know won't go straight to your ass (Unless you like to have some back).:moon:..or if so at times of the day you will burn them best! Go girl...enjoy!

Might I float flax seed gel caps? I take them to increase my HDL. I used to take fish oil caps but the fishy taste after an hour was, umm, gross.

What are you taking for $900 a month, anyway?

Will I start getting vicious e-mails about fish oils now?
I am pro flax now anyway-shhh, don't tell anyone.

Mepron. Insurance is covering it, whew. Taking malarone now, upgrading to the yellow paste. :puke:

Is foie gras fatty?

May have to start frequently eating rich food at highly starred restaurants! :D

Who? you or me? Never had foie gras before. So far all I found is the goose liver has more fat than the ducky. I didn't know there was a foie gras distributor close to home. Not sure if I will like it or not.

You, I already do that!

I was trying to think of non bacon, olive oil, or butter ways to add fat.

Filet mignon or tenderloin stuffed w/ foie gras would help break up the fatty food monotany.

I wonder what I will look like going out to a fancy restaurant, then breaking out my bottle of yellow paste.

Mango, how about salmon, lobster, crab and scallops. Oh yeah, along with the guacamole. Yummmm. Good luck and feel better!

 Salmon, yes, great idea, the fattiest kind.
Allergic to shellfish though ever since I got the cooties, but oh how I wish.

mangy, take a look at coconut oil. I got this book from the library this week, "150 Healthiest Foods in the World" and they have it listed. It has a really bad rap but evidently there's coconut oil and then there's coconut oil. (I guess just like olive oil and EVOO.) Anyway, I was curious enough to look up some info on using it. Take a look: http://www.coconutoil.com/ This website has research and forums as well.

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
Olive oil, olive oil, and more olive oil. In pasta (pasta, garlic fried in olive oil, some herbs, and some hot pepper - you can add some achovies if you like them - for a simple sauce; or pesto sauce), for dipping bread (I like the oil for dipping with salt and sometimes rosemary), and for cooking everything in it.
