Does anyone have any info on Sly? I was wondering why he just walked off too. He wasn't propped up or anything, but almost. I don't know much about his history or past. I like their music but he was pretty freaky last night.

I have always loved Sly and the FS. I was expecting something a little more rambunctious that that. What the heck happened? :dunno:

I think Sly ran out of gas. Or his mohawk was coming unglued.

I was SOO happy to wake up and see that U2 beat out Pariah Carey! I don't get her- in fact, I was stunned to realize she was nominated for anything. She sounds like a wailing cat. Yuck she is.

Hope Steele Mama was watching her boy Keith!

Yeah Katie- I like Joss Stone, and that was fun. We were trying to figure out if someone had glued that mohawk to Sly's head. Then he disappeared- just left the stage!

Missed the Gorillaz- gonna have to check them out!
Oh yea, I caught Keith and Faith. I had heard he was sick and might have to lipcync but HE DID NOT!!!

About Sly, :dunno: :dunno:   Could not figure that out at all. Did he sing a note last night? What was he doing? Rather sad, I thought. I know his former drummer, Rick Holly who has also played at Snapper Heads and elsewhere in the SoWal area. I wish he could have been there as an original member of the band. Rick helped write Everyday People and other Sly songs. He lives in Tallahassee now and has stayed at The Pink house.

I did a search on last night's Sly performance at the Grammys. According to The Washington Post and VH1, Sly was pi$$ed at the sound problems and walked off. But his band mates & family members expected that. Said they were surprised he even showed up. His frailty, & hunchback (their discription) was from years of poor nutrition, drugs, etc. He used to be 6'2". Nothing was said about the mohawk. He was but a sliver of his former, outrageous self. Sad.

Did anyone notice Randy Jackson on bass during the tribute?!

I'm not an over the top Springsteen fan like some are, but I have a whole new level of respect for him. Great raw performance tonight.

I  MY BRUCE !!!!!!!
