Thanks Kathy. It is hard. Everyone around me is getting puppies so I can get my fix. But I also just moved into a new house and thinking about my carpet

If and when we get another dog, it won't be a puppy. I'm a big fan of the rescued dogs. Grayhounds are my favorite. Now, it's just a time thing, both kids are in school, sad to think of a poor dog home in a crate all day by himself.

I didn't keep her in a crate all day. Just wanted to clarify. She had portable fenced in area in my living room for daytime. I put puppy pads down and she used them from day one. I only crated her at night. She slept right beside my bed. I am not an advocate of crating all day. Just wanted to clarify. OH, and by the way, I the Greyhounds are the BEST !!!
