Great pics everyone! My son has not let me take a "first day of school" picture since he became a freshman 3 short years ago.

I told him about this thread and he promised that he would let me take a picture of him tomorrow morning. Let's just hope he's in a good mood at 7a.m.

It's the same here too OL, it's dark out when they leave!

Great looking kiddos!

That is so awesome!

They both have the best hair and couldn't be anymore beautiful and handsome.

I took Dylan's after first day of school pic.;-) His hair is going through some kind of weird texture change at the moment. Dang puberty.:lol:

He looks very cool! I don't know if it is cool to say cool :dunno:

I love her hair with the side bangs! And, I have to say how much I am enjoying your son running!

He loves it!! He came home the other day and said he had finally found his sport! He has always loved to run!

OL-Dylan and Sam look so grown up since I last saw them!!(You should visit more often!!!) So how is school going for them??

IBD- yes they have really grown(changed!) Camp was very good for them this summer! I'd love to see some Little IBD pic's!

It's only been a day but so far so good! Dylan really likes his teacher and Sam hates having 7th period lunch. I don't blame her a bit. She has a really long day before then. There's 8 periods total and orchestra is her last one.

I totally get it. Dylan will probably be the same way when he's that age. He's my moody one. But I'm glad he's gonna let you take a pic!!! The early start time is a big change for Sam. Before, she always got up at 7:30 am. Now she has to leave about 6:50 so she gets up around 5:45. I just hope she doesn't get too run down, she has always needed about 10 hours of sleep and I really don't see that happening.

Does the school have a running club? Dylan joined last year and it helped him so much in lacrosse. I'm hoping it starts up soon since he's not playing a fall sport.

! I am sitting here with an ice pack on my knee, where I have a goose egg and scraped leg. During our last interval run through the trail at the west end of Seaside, I tripped on a huge root and went down on my left side. I don't think any of the kids saw me fall; I got up as fast as I could and ran back! I am paying for it now!

I love the enthusiam of the 6th graders! We need more boys - he needs to recruit his friends!

Thanks DD and OL!
I will be fine after I get some tylenol in me.

I am the assistant coach. It is the best unpaid job I have ever had! We have been the county champs for the past 3 years but most of our boys moved up to the high school, so we are in a rebuilding year!

Oh No!!! I'm so sorry- no, I guess no one saw- I sure didn't hear about that! Sad thing is- don't think there are too many boys to recruit!- isn't their class mostly girls?? Take care and get better soon- I'm very greatful for what you are doing- he sure would never get any running experience from me!!
