Fair enough. The real difference is that there is no obsession with Biden. None. Is it because he is a known quantity? Even when he spoke the words - word for word - of Kinnock, the press and public fried his fat in the oil for a while but nothing about any of his past missteps when he was nominated by Obama. I guess I am suggesting a - gulp - double standard is in play. Critics say that the Mac selected Palin for her chromosomes. Again, fair enough. But critics are obsessed with her because of her chromosomes. At least that is what Dick Morris says. Is he right?

I believe Biden is somewhat boring compared to Palin. Palin was chosen because of her personality. This women will find a microphone and camera and jump in front of it and begin speaking without thinking. Reminds me alot of "W". They are both entertaining, sad but entertaining none the less.

As far as Dick Morris or anyone else I can't say if their opinion is right or wrong, I won't even say my opinion is right. But come on put anyone in that video and it would be funny, wouldn't you agree?

Because she is just so damn entertaining. Day after day, interview after interview you just can't make this comedy up. The writers at SNL could never come up with a skit this funny. Since she won't go away we might as well enjoy the show.:rotfl::rofl::lol::funn:

I saw this last night and could not watch the video. You are right Pop. Someone could not make this stuff up, but I bet we'll see a skit of it soon enough.

All this turkey talk reminds me that last year, I cooked my first turkey. BTW, what is the difference between bake and roast? I cooked a 14 lb. bird for seven hours. Yes, it was too long. Much too long. It had one of those "foolproof" popup timer thingys and it did not popup for seven hours. Fortunately, my decision to buy a Honey-Baked Ham as a backup was a good one. BTW, I am not that bad of a cook. I am been cooking for myself since I was nine, and no that is not an exaggeration. I was concerned about getting trickynosis or scurvy if I did not cook the turkey enough.

Yes, the video is funny and starring just about anyone, the video would be funny. The real question is not the video but the obsession with Palin. I don't get it.

It's just all so surreal...the guy behind her turning to grin at the camera, all covered in blood and gore. The fact that she is making more sense than usual, and everything she says is totally undermined by what is going on behind her. Much like Britney, it feels like I'm watching a Greek tragedy. At some point during the campaign, I quit fearing her and started feeling sorry for her.

Why did you fear her?

Unreal

I am a pretty die-hard Republican who thought that Palin, though not a great choice, was brutalized worse than any candidate I have ever seen during the campaign.

However, this is just surreal. The guy behind her turning to the camera every time he got a break from Turkey dismemberment was funny and disturbing. I don't think that I will ever buy another Turkey again.

She says something to the effect of doing something fun that won't invite criticism. Maybe cockfighting would be another such fun backdrop.

There is no way that she will be the Republican choice in the next election. If so, I may have to turn in my Republican card.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, although I am afraid that this video will pop into your minds as you are serving the Turkey.

I for one am not obsessed with Palin. If I never heard her name again my life would go on just fine. She doesn't have to do these interviews but she wants to stay in the spotlight. When we watch the news and she is there what are we supposed to do? Take the background out and no one would be discussing her.

This is funny stuff. To pardon a turkey and do an interview in front of turkeys being slaughtered is just mind boggling. If it were Obama it would be just as funny.

I like to entertain myself by considering that Sarah Palin doing an interview standing in front of a turkey being slaughtered could be a premeditated act of brilliance rather an act of ignorance or stupidity...

A) Let's assume she wants to remain in the news and talked about- this'll do it
B) Let's assume she wants Joe Sixpack to continue to relate to her ("See, she's one of us")- this'll do it
C) Let's assume she wants to turn off leftys so that they'll talk about what horrible thing Sarah Palin did which will score further points with Joe Sixpack- this'll do it

IMHO- Either she is clueless or she is smart as hell and is playing Jedi Mind Tricks on all of us...

How could she know what was going on behind her. . . .she's having to focus so hard on the words coming out of her mouth. I love where she says she's thankful for the health and happiness of her family as an entire turkey family is being killed behind her. And then says she's thankful to be doing something fun instead of things that will invite criticism. Good lord. She needs to take a LONG vacation and decompress.

It was a very surreal clip, almost sickening in its poetic irony, Micheal Moore should consider use of that in the movie he may have to make after Palin is elected President in 2012:eek:
