I haven't read the Drudge report yet but I've been hearing on the news this afternoon that he did NOT do drugs (or at least not in excess). I heard he was diagnosed w/ depression a few yrs. back.

Also, I've noticed in the last few years he'd was looking very haggard, unkempt and THIN.

I'll never vouch for the accuracy of online stories that won't name their sources, but here is what was in the Daily Mail (UK site)...

Last night, sources told Mail Online that Ledger had been battling substance abuse problems - including an addiction to heroin - for some time.

"He had a stint in rehab late last year when he was treated for heroin," a source told The Daily Mail, adding that Ledger was increasingly introverted at the time of his death.

The Patriot and Knight's Tale were my favorites. Just makes a very glummy day even sadder. :sosad:

If you watch the news, some guy did an interview with him about the James Dean movie and he looked like he was in trouble. The interviewer said he was very antsy and kept scratching all over which is apparently a sign of withdraw. I just feel horrible for him and his family! He just seemed like the type of guy that would get along with anyone. Really down to earth, y'know? I always really liked him.
