Over here near Eastern Lake, I think we could be a little short on frogs this year. There's a pond where they breed annually. I heard them croaking over there during one of the early warm spells in March, then it turned cold again for a coupla weeks. Haven't heard or seen them at the pond since.

Frogs are a blessing. Hug em.
:D
One of my favorite memories is of the year L'il Pea #1 was 2, and we rented in Dune Allen. We left for dinner one night, turned on the porch light and came back to find little frogs attached to the glass on the front door. We opened the door just enough to squeeze in, closed it and stood on the other side of the glass to really check them out. L'il Pea thought it was the coolest, craziest thing ever. That became our entertainment every night after that.

Leave them be...they serve a good purpose.

At the Watersound Beach Club at night when we eat outside....it is a croaking frog symphony. I'm not sure where they come from, but they are all sizes, small and large. One of my dinner guests one evening was six years old and she went over to where she could hear them best, on the other side of the pool, she came back with one in each hand...by the "scruff" of their necks and brought them to the table. They were very cute, but I told her we needed to take them back to their homes 'cause their mommies and daddies would miss them. She wanted to take them home with us.....needless to say we put them back where they came from.

Bring them to my house! They can join their cousins there and happily eat all the mosquitos they want. We've been invaded by little frogs, too, but I'm always happy to see them hanging out eating mosquitos and other bugs. Every mosquito they eat is one that won't bite me! :D

I think you might have to cook a whole bunch to serve six, if they are the little frogs I'm thinking of:D

Be careful not to squish them when you close your door. Door jams look icky with dried dead frogs stuck to them.

HEY, do snakes eat frogs? Might be a good sign to have frogs. Lesser of two evils.
