You said it LL. This past September, at the age of 51, Mr. Sea Star and I found ourselves among the growing number of grandparents raising the grandchild. We literally received a 6 month old, out of the blue, with no advance notice. We were blown away (what's going to happen to retirement, etc.) but I wouldn't trade our little Sofia for anything in the world. We have survived, have a beautiful nursery, all the baby equipment we need, found a great day care so I can continue working, have developed a routine that works for us and I feel 20 years younger. Having a child at our age was never in our plans, but parenting is so much easier for us than it was when we were in our twenties. And when that alarm clock goes off, and I don't think I can get up and do it one more day, that beautiful smiling face changes my whole world.[/QUOTE]Sea Star,
What a wonderful thing you are doing. Your grandchild is very blessed to have grandparents like you! Good Luck!
