That charger will flat get it! Haven't seen performance like that in a mid-price production car since 340 'cuda in early '70s. For that matter, that funky magnum (with the 5.7L) will slap you back in the seat pretty well too...

I had two mustangs over the years an 82 and a 94 loved them both - bought both new and put 150K miles on each engine before I sold it - the 94 is still running good at 180K (sold to a friend). But that was the old 302 w/a stick. Don't know about the new engines they are using now. But I wasn't gentle with the old one and it took it. The only thing I don't like about the new mustang is that they seem to be everywhere. Eveyone is driving one.
I wish I could, but in order to keep the rust out of Sally, I keep her in Georgia. I don't have the guts to bring her down here. It is really a shame to keep her all locked up and protected, but she is no 'ole daily driver. I probably have a photo or two of her under-the-hood good looks. She is back to factory original parts and color codes under the hood, except for the spark plug wires, which the squirrels or mice were eating for a while. If you like my car, you should see some of my dad's old Ford / Shelby muscle cars. Vrrrrooomm, Vrrrooomm!katie blue said:...all you wanna do is ride around, SJ. Riiiiiide, SJ, Ride! ;-)
That always was a pretty good motor, and in a light body mootang, moves right along. First motor I ever tore completely apart & rebuilt (ahhh, fond greasy memories ;-)) - sad thing was, that particular motor came in a "Comet" wrapperSmiling JOe said:My old 289 works just fine in my Mustang, and sounds even meaner than it looks.
