I think the best varieties depend upon your location. Big Boys, Better Boys, and Early Girls are very popular -- probably much to do with the names.Johnrudy said:I've tried growng tomatoes here, but I guess I need to fence them off because John & Rudy always pp on them.
What kind of tomatoes are the best to plant? I think there are some called Big Boys, or some "cute" names.
Now comes the difficult part -- keeping the pests off of them. Just callmy thumb and index finger the "bug killers." ;-)Paula said:Boo hoo. The tomatoes look so good they are making me cry (and salivate).
There are some, but they keep all the bugs away. Some of the bugs are good and some are bad for the tomatoes. I have planted some Marigolds in with the veggies, and they will help deter some of the pests.Paula said:There must be some organic way to keep bugs off tomatoes so you can rest your fingers.
