I'm here! I'm cold, but I'm here! I woke up at about 9:30 this morning and the snow was comin down! The subways were running on local stops so getting anywhere was doable, but took a little time. I went straight uptown where my friends and I cooked a huge breakfast- grocery stores were open by this time. We let our food settle, strapped on our Under Armor and headed to the park. We went sledding for about 3 and a half hours. It was so much funn. The snow fell until about 3 or so. I think there was about 2 feet in the park. We saw James Gandolfini sledding with his son. We took out some people...got popped with a sled for running a man over, got called a-holes (not our fault) and got soaking wet and freezing cold. My friend took some great pics so when we get them I'll post some. Downtown is still pretty dead. Not many cars on the road at all. Washington Square park was so pretty in white. Now I'm just unthawing. The weiner is fine. His dads got stuck in Argentina so I have the weiner for 2 more nights. :roll: I'm at chez Kimmi for a while now though. :clap_1:

Way to go....sounds like a grand, FUNN day. I do love to sled. The odd thing is, I love snow as much as I love the beach...maybe because both are so peaceful. Send pics soon.

I'm so mad Jfunn said I was a scaredy cat. I like things like tubing, sledding, ect. Not things that go high like rollercoasters.

come to think of it Jfunn...a Funn Island from Tommy Thumby would have been perfect!

I'm so pooped now. I need to go downtown and take the weiner to make yellow snow.

We did Peppermint Patties last night! Hot chocolate with peppermint schnapps. It was so good. I just don't understand why these storms don't come during the week. Last year was President's Day...the year before that was MLK b'day. It kills me! They said we broke a record this year. Something like 26 inches in the park.

Yeah...I'm going to go in a little later...around 9:30. My boss comes in on the LIE so she may be late. I'm going in Uggs though. It's going to be nasty when all this snow starts melting. Big ole slushy pits of icy water on every corner!
