Hunting Florida Bears

I did vote for Bush twice. I'm made several other really big mistakes. Regarding knife hunting, I'll guess there's a little help involved from man's best friend.

I don't own any firearms and have never hunted because I don't understand the pleasure people get from killing. Another thing I don't understand is why do people get in a tizzy about hunting but think nothing about fishing especially big game fishing? With the exception of catch and release aren't they both "sports" in which participants are killing living creatures for relaxation and pleasure?

Well, we love to eat Seafood! But bear? No thanks. I do believe that all wildlife and fish need protection. Even fishing is regulated to keep a healthy balance. At least they ended the bear hunt early but Florida got some pretty bad publicity as the hunt looks like trophy hunting, even if some claim to eat their kills.. I'm hoping something good will come from it such as attention to preserving and expanding wildlife corridors for bear, Panthers and all our wildlife. It is a great responsibility for our state.

If I see a mounted game fish I don't give it a second thought, but a warm blooded animal mounted on the wall will evoke a completely different reaction from me and I can't explain why.
