Hello to all the Kentucky people! We're just one state over in Indiana. Every fall that we get the chance, we drive to Louisville to the St. James Court Art Fair that is held the first weekend in October. Does anyone else go? We've gotten some beautiful artwork and pottery there! Louisville is such a pretty city.

I have never had a mint julep, but have been to the derby many times!

Mermaid, I am not familiar with St. James Court Art Fair in L'ville. Sounds great though, I love pottery. Any southwest styles?

St. James is great- I last went 1st thing on Sunday morning and it is so peaceful before the crowd hits. Let me know what day you will be coming- would love to meet up with another board member!

Public school is canceled on St. James Friday now. For years, so many teachers would call in sick, and the school system couldn't find subs- they were all going to the art fair. So now we have an "in service" day -ha ha . We have one on kentucky Oaks day as well for the same reason).

How's your new place coming?

Sunny Daze, this art fair is huge. It's held in the old Victorian neighborhood and all the streets are blocked off and the booths are in the sidewalks and streets. You can find whatever kind of artwork your heart desires. I'm pretty sure if you google "St. James Court Art Fair" you'll come up with their website. It's definitely worth making a day trip out of it if you can!

jdarg, if we can go this year (if we're not down in Seagrove Beach fixing up the condo--planned to go this weekend but you know that's put on hold!) I will definitely PM you and let you know!

I will definately google it! I am going to be at a conference at the Galt house Sept 27-29. Too bad it won't be going on then. Would give me something fun to do during the evenings!

Must shut down now. Lots of thunder and a big red cell on the weather radar shows it's ready to hit.

Will return later!
