Hollibird, I am curious about your PETA post.
Please share with us the names of the cruelty free products that you currently use, since I guess you do not use Charmin, Cottonelle, or Kleenex toilet paper, Arm&Hammer baking soda, or feed your pets Iams or Eukanuba. Also, I am assuming you do not consume any animal products in any way, period, or you would not be "playing the PETA card". Leather? Hmmm...guess I could look the other way on that one since the cow was already turned into steak and it is a shame to toss a good hide in the dumpster. Prescription drugs? Nah, who needs 'em?
I have learned one thing about the PETA gang- usually people that are spouting the PETA party line aren't totally living the cruelty free lifestyle. But they are quick to show everyone the propoganda. Another interesting little statistic- when I worked at the vet clinic, most of our PETA clients did not spay or neuter their pets. Guess they donated all their money to buy more PETA surveillance cameras.
PETA can possibly legitimize itself by stopping the weirdness (like having Pamela Anderson for their oh-so-classy spokesmodel!) and appealing to people's intelligence. I find their tactics insulting and amateurish, and now it's just getting boring.
