OL, I'm babysitting a big ole poodle this week. Actually, (as Jackson would say) I think he lives here more than at his own home. Anyway, he's just the sweetest dog. And, he's so quiet. Maggie's like a herd of elephants, but I hardly ever hear Boone coming. And I love the no shedding thing.

Yep, the no shedding is great. Ours is a little white ball of 7lb fluff. She's very sweet but lately I have been tripping over her constantly. She loves me and follows me everywhere. Like you mentioned with Boone, she's quiet and I never know she's there. I take a step and almost fall on top of her like 10 times a day!

Yeah, I trip over him all the time. He's going home on Monday. I've had him for over a week. Mr. dd asked me the other night if his mom had given him to me and I just hadn't told him...
Little does he know that she's already tried. ;-)

Another cold weather favorite: My gullfriend (who just lives 2 minutes from me) calls because her hubby is out of town for the weekend and she wants to watch t.v. with me.

No hubby in the winter=we build a fire, order pizza, make brownies/cookies, have some cocoa (we spike it on the rare occasions when she isn't preggers!) and watch either a chick flick, some goofy reality show (when I lost weight she TiVo'd about a gazillion "what not to wear"s and threw out all my clothes!) or just the O'Reilly Factor with the sound turned off while we gossip. All of this is done in fleece pajamas.

It never happens in the summer because hubby doesn't go out of town (without her, anyway.)

One of those things that makes me love my life tremendously!

Sounds like a perfect evening to me. How lucky are you that you have your friend so close by!

I loved hearing from dd that it was 80 degrees in Dallas yesterday...warmer than the beach! I did love being the ONLY person on the beach at WC yesterday!

I HATE winter. Dead trees, cold wind. Outta the Box - I laughed out loud at your puppy dogs sleeping. I have a golden retriever mix and a shetland sheepdog (sheltie) and love to watch them sleeping like that. I love corgi's! My neighbor has a corgi mix and I call her the giant hamster!!!!!!

To shorten winter, borrow some money due in spring.
