Kimmifunn....I have an idea for you and all the other good southern folks out there.

My grannie and my mom used to always say, "Well, I'll be switched!" Kind of like--can you believe that?
And my grannie and most Southerners say when a child is getting ready to throw a fit or start bawling, "Oh, he's tunin' up!"
And only a Southern grannie or mama asks you if you need to "go tee-tee"!

I've been a little under the weather and I'm doing all I can to recover! The NY Auburn Alumni Club has a major function that I must be 100% for (not to mention I didn't want to miss work on my 2nd week!)

Did I miss a new job somewhere...? Help!

And no, you did not miss anything about a new job... this is an old thread from August that was revived.

I love when a thread rises from the ashes! I laughed at the tee-tee post, because it was my truth growing up! I thought going or needing to go pee was like trashy cussing! (I think pee-pee was maybe okay!) To this day, I cannot hear it without cringing! We tee-teed and tinkled at my house, as did and do the doggies...hopefully outside!

Other words on my "cussing list": crap, sucks, shut up (unless it is a Stacy London one!), fart

Did I just type all those bad words? I had a very hard time explaining this to my kids as you all know most of these words became a part of their jargon! Funny how I love a well placed REAL cuss word...especially from a person that uses them infrequently, but with panache!!!

EDIT: I think you might misunderstand...I can and do cuss like a sailor (not that it's a ladylike thing to do!) when needed. The above words I do not use...childhood issues!!!
