It sounds like this Marmoset is a biter! Reason #63 that wild animals don't make good pets.

P.S. What did the former owner die of? Better be sure it wasn't bite related. ;-)

Not exactly sweetie.

She died of congestive heart failure. You are right, the don't make good pets that is for sure!

KDW, now you can use yhis as an excuse for your husband to get you some new earings. Now that the holes are already there, let him know you want those diamond studs.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I don't have any more room for more wholes. I already am pierced to the max, but you do have a good idea, my dear!

How's the marmoset? Did it die of food poisoning yet? :D

I'm sorry you got bit, but this has been a funn thread!

Har, Har, Har!

Spank him, shock him or both. Go to the doctor for sure. The doctor will have to report it to the county health department. The monkey will probably have to be quarantined. The health department is probably going to want to pay the owner a visit and have a look at the monkey. As long has the monkey has had its shots and it's a house monkey then home quarantine may be an option. Anyway that's not your problem.

Called the doctor. He asked me if I had a craving for Banana's and a desire to swing from trees. I told him I didn't like the idea of swinging from tree's, but if there is a pole anywhere around me, I have to swing from it. ;-)

Actually, he told me not worry about anything if he had all his vaccines there was nothing to worry about. So I am not worrying about it. They don't quarantine unless he had not had his shots. Thank you all for your concerns and laughs at my expense!!!!

You're lucky. Here in Walton they practically want to become a resident at your house. It doesn't matter that the animal belongs to you, just had his shots, and never goes outside.

Holy Planet of the Apes!

I was watching the news and this just came on. Apparently, the chimp knew the friend for years, but they think that he may not have recognized her because she changed her hair color.

Chimp Mauls CT Woman

STAMFORD -- A woman whose 175-pound chimpanzee attacked her friend Monday afternoon tried to stop the attack by stabbing her pet primate with a butcher knife, police said.
As police arrived to clear the way for emergency medical workers to treat the seriously injured friend, the chimp, Travis, revived and opened the door of the police cruiser.
The officer inside fired several shots, killing the chimp.
Travis' owner, Sandra Herold, and two officers also were hurt, though the extent of their injuries wasn't clear.
Travis was known around Stamford for years because he rode around in trucks belonging to Herold's towing company, Desire Me Motors in Stamford.
The attack occurred outside Herold's home at 241 Rock Rimmon Road. The friend's name, age and hometown are not known. She was very badly mauled by the chimp, police said.
Herold apparently called 911 when she went into the house to get the butcher knife, police at the scene said.
Travis, who was known for liking police officers, tried to open the passenger door of the cruiser, smashing the side-view mirror. When he couldn't get it open, the chimp went around to the driver's-side door and opened that. That is when the officer shot him several times.
"He had no choice but to pull his pistol and fire several rounds," Capt. Richard Conklin said of the officer. "The EMS personnel were reluctant to go in because there was an enraged chimpanzee on the loose."

The line "haven't you always wanted a monkei" from the Bare Naked Ladies 'if I had a million $' song keeps running through my head when I read posts in this thread!
