Hey All:

I know we don't want to scare tourists with shark stories but it is what it is-

There has been a lot of shark activity the last view days. Just before sunset today my family and I were hanging out on Grayton Beach and a guy fishing right next to us pulled in a shark...

It took a few of us to convince him to let it go. I ended up helping him get the thing back in the water. So I guess I can cross that one off my list of things to do as a SoWal Local...

:)

Won't see 'em here, either. Check your links. I'm getting red "X's"...

They're showing up now. After the soiree we tried to explain to the geniuses waist deep in the water that it might not be a real good idea. We were ignored.

While it is rare, many of us have been reminded this week firsthand that sharks can and do swim just steps from shore...

Granted they don't want to eat us. But mistaken identity or an exploratory bite are well within the realm of possibility...

Be careful, all!!!

Sorry so preachy...

Cool! Can't wait to show my kids these photos. The sharks I can deal with, it's the gators that scare me silly (cue SJ and jdarg telling me about recent sightings)...

amazed...

I am always amazed that folks are surprised that there are sharks that live in the ocean. Maybe the marine economy has taken a dive also...Just learn what you need to minimize your chances of an encounter
