With "patriots" like you and Alec Baldwin around, no wonder there is such deviseness in this country. Alec should have left in 2000 or 2004, we would have been better off without him. Just because his candidate doesn't win, he threatens to move to leave the country. Now that's what I call patriotic. I say good riddance. Adios. Goodbye. Leave. He won't be missed.

As for me, if Obama wins (and that sounds really, really scary to me), I will stay here and work as hard as I can to succeed and to help my country succeed. I'll pay the higher taxes (because I'm "rich"), watch spending grow even more than it has under Bush, watch our military go to pot, watch us cowtow to dictators like A-hole-makdinjiad (SP), see the economy drop further into the depths, watch our medical system be socialized, etc.

BUT, unlike many bleeding heart liberals during the Bush reign, I won't make idle threats to leave for another country. No, I will still be proud to be an American!

Not an idle threat really. We have been wanting an extended Va-Ca in Costa Rica for some time. I hear the ceveche is to die for. Dubya just made me want to go there sooner. He may be the president but he doesn't represent me or any of the things that I stand for. Most often, when you think of a country, you automatically equate its citizens with its leader. Can't I love America and not love Bush? Is it possible to love a country and not it's politics? Is it so wrong to want to get the heck outta dodge and not be associated with a leader that you staunchly oppose? In your eyes the answer is yes, but that is what makes the world go around. You have your reasons for liking the man, and I have mine for not.

Don't misunderstand me. Using a passport to go to Costa Rica does not make me a citizen of that country. I would still pay my share of taxes in America. (and as for socialized medicine....BRING IT. But that is an entirely different thread.)

Senator, I have watched Alec Baldwin, I am a child of the 80's. I listened to Alec Baldwin's voice-mail messages. I TiVo 30 rock, but Senator, I am no Alec Baldwin.
