I think it's  that Hillary took Chelsea to see Prime Minister Bhutto when she was first elected by her people. I bet Chelsea is glad she had the opportunity to meet the woman, even more so now, that she died for what she believed in for her country.

I'm not sure about candidates' IQs, but I can tell you that GW's is in the idiot range.

138
HRC's is 140, Ron Paul's is estimated at 130-140.

But look at Reagan...did a lot of good, and his was among the lowest (105).

It is laughable because the problem with the IRS and our tax system is not that the middle class takes a long time to do their taxes. It is not even putting a bandage on the wound.

If you read the whole speeches, the links are on the bottom of the page, he goes into more detail, however, I have to agree with you that there isn't much of an explanation for his rationale regarding the middle class tax filings. He should have more of in depth explanation if he is even going to bring it up. (See, I am flexible to listening ;-))

I'd have to ask my most adamant anti-Bloomberg friend what her biggest gripe is, because she always reacts negatively whenever his name is even mentioned. She was a lifelong Brooklynite who moved to Jersey a few years ago. Guess he drove her out.

Now I am curious. Let me know. I'm thinking it may have to do with affordable housing. Bloomberg is big on that, and Brooklyn is a borough that has a diverse population as well as a huge variation in neighborhoods so close together. One can walk 2 blocks and be in a totally different hood.

I'd be a little more than scared of a candidate with too high of an IQ. Good leaders don't have to be geniuses. They need to surround themselves with intelligent advisers, but common sense and a little book smarts can go a long way.

When reading through the candidates' own websites, we have to remember something. This is an election, and politicians will often say whatever they think will win them the most votes. The candidates will do a lot of hat changing, depending on their audience. From what I hear, we can anticipate Hucksterbee taking off the religious hat, until he gets down to SC, and now he will likely focus on the Fair Tax to appeal to the independents in NH.
One small town lady in a beauty shop said, during a piece on Obama's grass roots efforts in FL, "these politicians will say whatever they need to say to win, so be careful what you believe." I could have hugged that lady. Don't expect to see anything but shiny parts on their websites, not much different than the automakers' websites. To find out the real truth, we need some actual customer comments, but then we have to discern which ones are planted mistruths by the other candidates. Anyone who thinks they have a clear understanding of a candidate might want to think again.

Who has read the book, Blink? I may reread it before going to the polls.

What if they are offering Gatorade instead of the Kool aide?

Yep...

The thing that strikes me about the Clinton situation is the constant scandal. Maybe this is the bright side of being brought up in a strict, judgmental denomination--I was always taught about guilt by association. I was allowed to be friends with whomever I pleased and encouraged to love unconditionally, but warned that if I was driving my pot-smoking buddies around, I would get in trouble, too.

A book which shall remain nameless warns that those who hold positions of authority will be held to higher standards. It is often paraphrased as "with great power/privilege comes great responsibility." When the fate of the free world is in your hands, you have to exponentially increase your standards on who you trust. If a leader or potential leader can't remember that, especially in the age of instant media exposure, s/he loses all my confidence in one fell swoop.
