Talk to any Catholic intellectual about L T and you will get an ear-full.
That Pope John Paul II fought against this discredited crapola is well known.
No way even moderately conservative Catholics will vote for anybody associated with LT.
Radical Liberation Theology is obviously what attracted Obama to Wright's church and cements their friendship. Wright being a renown leader of this Marxist inspired political philosophy.
Far from being a healer, an Obama presidency would be the most divisive in 100 years.
The reason he would be willing to have talks with Castro, Chavez or Quadaffi is that he is just as radical as they are.
Again I encourage you to investigate liberation theology.
