Only need a 2 bd-rm for the nights of 8/23 & 8/24. It appears that there is nothing from Destin and anything east. At this point, i don't even care where it is or what it costs.

1. There appear to be several cabins (cottages) available for those 2 nights at Grayton Beach State Park. We've really enjoyed staying there in the past.
2. Hibiscus House B&B would be worth checking.
3. You might find an owner with "sandwiched" openings who would let you rent 2 nights and pay the extra cleaning fee. I'll pm you one to check with in Grayton Beach.
4. DeFuniack Springs Hotel (B&B) will rent by the night. It's very reasonable but kinda far.

Grayton Beach State Park Cabins possibility:

When we were building our house, we had many two-nighters at Gulf Place and at La Pensione at Rosemary.
.
Resort Quest handles a lot of the Gulf Place Caribbean units. They are both one and 2 BR condos. If someone is not too tall and doesn't have to have the privacy the one BR units with hall bunks might work.

Pensione won't work for us & everywhere else I've checked is a 3 night minimum.

I even considered that but we're all either almost 6 ft. or over.
Still a 3 nite min. - - and if it's cheap enough, i might even consider paying for the extra night and be done with it!

Did you rule out the State Park? The cabins are very clean, 2 BR, updated appliances, screen porch - a great deal and they used to have only a 2 night minimum. I doubt that they would disappoint unless you had to have TV which they don't have.

If cost isn't an issue, PM me and I can give you a couple options. One of the things that's challenging with a two-night rental, at least for us, is that on top of the rental rate, we have to purchase an $85 damage waiver policy (we eat this cost on a 7-night rental), $55-$85 cleaning fee (regardless of # of nights), 11% FL tax, and a % to our local management company. For a 7-night stay, these costs are spread out, but can get expensive for the renter if it's just for two nights. This is why a hotel room sometimes works out more efficiently on a short-term rental.

But again, if cost isn't an issue, let me know and we can see what we can work out!
