We heard on our weather that Memphis got a foot of snow!
All I can say is I'm happy for you all and so glad it went south instead of here.
The areas of Ellendale and Arlington got around that. They are in the outskirts of Memphis, some of those areas are countrylike. But here in Memphis they said we got between 6-8 inches of snow.

I have one of the original type of sleds that is wooden with metal runners that go good through the ice. I think they used to be called the Radio Flyer sleds, been a long time ago, you could get them at Western Auto. I bought this one at a Service Merchandise here before the store went out of business probably 10 years ago. I saw a news story locally the other night showing a man buying a snow shovel. They actually sell them here and we may be lucky to get one snow a year.

those kinds of metal rail sleds are illegal here - too dangerous. They can cut a little hand off! :shock:
