JC's positive experience

I decided to go to JC's last night with three of my gull friends just to have a few cocktails and next thing you know we were having dinner.

The four of us decided on splitting the following for a last minute smorgasbord.

lb of steamed shrimp
fried green beans
sweet potatoe fries
hushpuppies
mozzarella stixs

Over all it was enjoyable and plenty to eat (for four) not to mention the affordabilty.

Sowallers give it a try.................I think you'll agree.;-)

One of the complaints about JC's in the other huge negative thread was the fact that most of their food is frozen and reheated and served with little actual cooking going on. I believe that SWGB was pointing out that this lone positive post didn't really show a change in that trend. With so many world class restaurants available locally, one expects a little more then reheated publix level frozen food.

joho, i'm glad you had a good time and enjoyed the food, sometimes it's not all about the food but the company. pre-dinner cocktails always makes the food taste better, too. IMO. and i'm with you, who wants to cook?

When you pay the prices around here to dine out, it is definitely about the food and good company is an added bonus. And I'm sorry, world-class restaurants in this area are not abundant. What you may mean is local-tourist favorites with good food. I can count on one hand (and have a finger or two leftover) the number of world-class restaurants on the Emerald Coast. Most people don't always want, need, or can afford the best ingredients, top-notch chefery, and the rest of the smoke and mirrors that convince someone to shell out big money for lunch or dinner. JC's may not be the greatest, but they work hard and are trying to contribute to this community in their own way. Tip for steak lovers: The Cowboy Cut Ribeye there is darn good.
