What is your first memory?

Mine was when I was about 3ish I remember my uncle being home from the navy, he was standing in the kitchen leaning against a counter and I loved the huge white bellbottoms that were part of his sailor uniform.

Mornin' ya'll~ :love: Sweet memory.
In a hospital!:rotfl::funn::rofl::yikes::dunno:

:lolabove:

I remember telling my twin sister to move over in the womb. :D

:lolabove:

Seriously, they did not know my mom was having twins. Back in "those" days, fathers couldn't go in the delivery room. After we were delivered the nurse walks out to the waiting area behind the glass holding both of us. My dad looks at her and says "which one is mine", she said "both of them". My dad fainted. The next day he went and knocked on all his neighbors doors to tell them he had twin girls. :love:

Nursing did have its funn moments occasionally. :funn:

duh yea, with a touch of red :yikes:

Makes me not so smart and have a temper :rotfl:

I have a friend in the business and she has taught me some things about it.

What actually started me thinking about it was, after my mom passed away and I went and did her makeup and hair because she begged me too. You see my mom shaved her eyebrows and then always drew them back on with eye pencil. She always said "Honey, please make sure my eyebrows are on during the viewing". So I did. I figured it was the last thing I could do for. I also figured if I could do it for my mom, I could do it for anyone. I would like to do it for the families left behind. Believe me I know it is not all about hair and makeup, but I still would love to do it.

:love:Aww sweet kd. I am sorry about your momma. I bet her brows were beautiful that day. A childhood friend of mine's mom did people's hair for a funeral home. Remember hearing a couple stories. I find forensics investigating very interesting, like Jordan and remember Quincy, played by Jack Klugman? I think it's sweet you would want to help the dead look pretty one more time.

Favorite musician: Bruce Springsteen: Went to a concert in B'ham in 1984. The man played for 4 hours with a 15 minute break. The BEST concert I have ever been to.

Nope never saw ZZ Top or Willie Nelson...my mom did see Willie he was her favorite.

Yes, I would be the Alabama gull. :D

Yes, saw Skynard play and loved them!

My favorite swimming hole in Alabama is a little beachy area on the Tennessee River close to my house.
