You continue to amaze me.....

Why, because I can google, :rotfl:She has a fabulous webpage.
I do like some of her music. I did not care for her Idol performance, but do like Poker Face, Telephone, and Bad Romance.

I like many different kinds of music. I respect also that she worked her way up, the hard way. Not being born into a famous musical family, or winning a TV show, she played clubs and self promoted herself.

I liked Cyndi Lauper and Madonna and LadyG is just this year's version.

She's Madonna 2.0 with more creativity and vocal talent.

Exactly! I have to admire her showmanship and promotion of herself. Without the crazy attire she really is a simple looking woman with a big nose who probably would never have made it this far with at least 4 or 5 songs currently on the top 100. They interviewed her for NY Mag and I found her to be extremely intelligent.

LOL.

But look on urbandictionary for a different meaning of "Poker Face." I am not judgmental about a person's sexual preferences, but the modern definition of this term might be an eye-opener for you. I didn't get it until our daughter 'splained it to me.

Very much aware of the so called interpretation, does not mean I can't appreciate the tune.

Liked Rolling Stones, "I Can't Get No Satisfaction", doesn't mean I lived it.

Her name is Stefani Germanotta. She's a tallented composer / pianist. Problem was there are a lot of tallented composer / pianists out there, and she had nothing that set her apart. She created the Lady GaGa character and took off. She's the female equivalent to Marilyn Manson (Brian Warner). They both found niches that they could exploit and made the most of if. They're both marketing geniuses...just my humble opinion. Has nothing to do with whether you like them or not...

I always thought Madonna was a great business woman i.e. marketing genius and her longevity with great music (as deemed by many) and fun antics has certainly proven she's a master at 'putting it out there.' I never did get Marilyn Manson - he scared me a bit.

I do think Lady GaGa has staying power. Awesome pipes.
