Wow, leave it to the gay guy or the engineer.

Red clay comes from the high iron content of the clay. More than likely the best bet is a lite soak in CLR and a normal run thru the washer.

First, go kick the ever lovin' sheet out of your car--oviously the real culprit.
Second, go get a new car 'cause your old one has a huge dent in the door.
Soak entire pants in red clay mud and learn to love the color---5 million Georgians can't all be wrong.
Learn that lesson that you've got no business wearing anything except a bikini and flip flops

You know there is a company that uses red clay to dye their clothes...It is very hard to get out I've lived in the land of red clay all my life when I would take my kid to buy new shoes, all of the socks I could see were dyed red...even the kids had red skin. The only suggestion I can offer is to use any product but leave it on longer and rub the stained fabric against a slean patch. Good luck. You would be amazed at what you can do with stained clothes to reinvent them. Oh, and some fabric protection, ie. silicone or another stain repellant can help, pre stain. If all fails, tell people the stain happened when you were saving a child from an alligator...

Put excessive amounts of T*D* w/bleach into the washing machine with them and for get about them for a day or so. With all the pretreatments you have done a good old overnight soak might work.

I haven't tried many of the remedies mentioned here and it has given me some ideas. North Alabama clay is like glue and you have to chip it off your shoes when the mud dries, not to mention the stains on socks, the botton of pants, etc. Red clay is nasty!!! Please let me know, SN, if you find anything that works.
