I quit showing people my special finger about 30 years ago when I was a passenger in a car with a boyfriend. He gave a driver & his wife that special finger for some sort of traffic infraction. Well, we were all stopped at a red light, and the recipient of that special finger, had gotten out of his pick-up, came over to my boyfriend, whose window was down, & proceeded to reach in, grab him by the collar of his shirt, and PULLED him completely OUT of the car - - - through the window!!! I think he almost wet his pants. Boy, did I learn a lesson!!!! That big ol' cowboy/redneck could've killed him!

Yes, that day I saw SJ in Publix, I was already on a rant - I had to drive down 393 behind people in a golf cart (didn't think you were supposed to do that), not one but TWO guys were riding down 30-a in my traffic lane, making the cars behind him wait till the other lane was empty to pass him - when I suggested to the last one he use the bike path - (since the bike path specifically states I cannot have a motorized vehicle on it - so I don't drive down bike paths in my car) - but he showed me his I-Q with his "special finger".

Maybe I can get one of those super shooter water guns and cool him of the next time I see him riding in MY lane!!!

This gentleman had NO manners!!! But, he has a special finger!!!!
Seagrover, I often give the finger to people who yell at me while I am riding my bicycle on the road. I have numerous reasons for riding my bike on the road, rather than the path, and number one on the list is safety. The bike bath is a hazard for bicylclers in many ways. ;-)

ladydebubba60, yes this is my son, Bubba. He is out on the porch now and he loves to take his porch naps!!!

audie, good idea for my new super soaker!! Maybe something that the yellow flies will like!!!

And SJ, you mistook my words - never did I say I "yelled" at the bicycle rider in the street - I only "suggested" he ride in the bike path at which point he showed his disagreement.

Oh, sorry. no motorized vehicles allowed on the path (even though I saw a Regional Utilities employee speeding down the path on a four wheeler yesterday). I have recently learned that certain golf carts (based on engine size or horsepower - uncertain?) are legal on the road -- but I bet my bicycle goes faster. :D

The next thing will be some gizmo that allows someone to have virtual sex while walking down the street or waiting for an airplane.

They already have the gizmo...it is called the pocket rocket. :D But it isn't virtual, it is real. You have to be careful though when you have it "installed". It can be hazdardous to your health!!!! And no, I don't have one "installed", well not while I am doing anything hazardous.

There are people that are just as rude outside of being behind the wheel. My son and his wife have only been married over a year. He is 24 and her 20. I get tired of being drug in the middle of their disagreements. She works in Dillards in the mall at the Clinique makeup counter. 3 times yesterday on his off day she called him at the house demanding he come up there to her work and get her engagement ring he gave her and take it upstairs in the same mall she works in to the jewelers to get it fixed. She works right below on the lower level of the mall and can on her break ride the escalator upstairs and leave it and go back and get it before they close. Instead she chewed my son out 3 times on the phone, hanging up on him each time, and of course, because of that he did not go up there at all. And I don't blame him. And then she calls me and complains. I told him last night I would appreciate it if she would not drag me into their petty nonimportant disagreements. And of course, she was mad at him last night when he picked her up from work. I think she is just trying to see how much he is willing to do for her. She is very immature and I can guarantee you she doesn't think she is. She resents people bossing her also, mainly her mother and her aunt she used to live with here. It is a long story. Am I right on with this or what? I think he has a valid point! She moved out of her mom and dad's because of not being happy with being bossed around and then she moved in with her aunt and she preceded to do the same thing. So out she wanted to move from there. She tries to make me choose between him and her as to on someone's side! So there is rudeness in alot of ways!

And he married her, why? I think immature is an understatement!

I believe you would need a hazardous waste permit and approved biohazard carrier to ship excrement. No doubt a federal offense if sent through the regular mail, or left in a mailbox.

Whatever you do, do not hide a dead fish in a person's house or automobile.

And NEVER place shrimp shells behind curtains, refrig, etc!

You guys are so funny. PLEASE don't get mad at me when I act like a jerk :rotfl: .

I don't do the special finger either except to friends and family in jest. One thing that I try to do when faced with the a$$holedness of people is to remember that humans were designed to be screwed up. We wouldn't be here if we weren't. So when I witness a person being a jerk or rude or screwed up, I recognize that they are perfect for the purpose they were designed. It helps me accept and be a little more forgiving. Also reminds me that I might have some imperfections in my self that I need to focus on.

By all means keep those helpful hints (such as Audie's spray) coming as they're hilarious. One thing I love about sowallers is their ability to laugh at life!
