The circus staff that has been at our school for 3 weeks tried to go out for St. Patrick's Day drinking last night, and complained that all the people at the Irish bar were watching the NCAA games, and not being very St. Patty's Day-ish. This crew is from England, Scotland, Australia, Canada, and Hungary (or "Hungaria" to GTTBM), so I had to explain about March Madness. They couldn't give a fig about b-ball!
i despise basketball, and anything to do with it, but the hubby has it on like 24 hrs a day now. anyway - say a player tonight that i swear to god is eddie murphy's buckwheat character reincarnated. he had on a purple jersey - that is as technical as i can get.
*THIS* is March Madness. My sister in Dallas just called me and wants us to fly to Minneapolis tomorrow to see the Gators play. We have a boatload of FF miles, so my flight would be free. She has a private plane, so her flight would be free. We don't have tickets, but tickets are always available - it's just a matter of how much you want to spend.
Is it MADNESS for us to go?

Yes - it IS madness to use your FF miles to go somewhere THAT freakin' cold to watch basketball! What are you thinking! Fly to Belize and watch it on satellite or something! Or watch it from SoWal!!!
We have so many FF miles that this is irrelevant. Actually we plan to donate many of them to a charity. We used to vacation in Europe and Asia and used the miles for those trips, but now that we own in SoWal, we'd rather be there.jdarg said:
