Have not snapped.

Don't worry. I am quite calm. I just don't understand the productivity of calling people stupid. If Jensiblue had called Obama stupid, I would have had the same reaction.

I am interested in the issues of this campaign, and the reason that I logged on was that I am truly interested in people's opinions. If the site denigrates into name calling, then it's not going to be too enjoyable for most of us.

All of these people have more impressive credentials than I have. I can disagree with their policies, but I don't believe that it makes them stupid.

I expect that Obama will win this election, and I hope that people show him a little more kindness than was shown President Bush. I don't agree with Obama on many issues, but I think that the office of the President deserves a modicum of respect.

Salient issue for me in this campaign is not Obama's race but McCain's age. He often appears confused, bumbling...He scares me. At least the W knows he is stupid...I do not believe McCain has any awarenessof his limitations.
May I kindly, as an old man, older than McCain, make you aware of some things you seem to not recognize.
Asian culture has great respect for their elders. They not only revere them, they seek their counsel and advice. Their culture has not only survived much longer than ours but prospered as well.
As an elder citizen, let me assure you that many of us are neither senile, stupid or unable to think for ourselves. McCain is anything but stupid. Unfortunately, I don't think he will win. But thankfully it will not be us "old folks" loss as our lifestyles will not alter greatly. But you, those still working raising children and looking to retirement, had better watch closely what transpires in Washington D.C. in the next four years. I, and I am only one old codger, think you may have some real surprises coming. To be concerned about McCain's age is the least of my worries.

GW didn't cut the mustard.... his daddy did....he'll go down as the worst president in the modern era.
Funny. That is exactly what almost everyone in the other party said about Harry Truman right after he left office. Maybe you had better wait a year or two or more before you make such a prediction.

truman still makes the short list of unpopular presidents, so i'm speaking about bush compared to what i've seen in my lifetime, and i'm not very far out on a limb to say so.....gw has handed obama a very short deck....the office of the presidency does not lend itself to well to older men. if you don't have what it takes by late 40s/early 50s, another 20 years won't make any difference other than nodding out in cabinet meetings. mccain ran a fractured campaign, showed poor judgement in his veep pick, and went to fear mongering when his economic ideas were poorly received. he blew it!
