Any insider info for newbies at MountainFilm? BB (whom I met at the WaterSound homeowners' weekend!! Hi, BB!) said to bring chairs, which I would not have known to do, and blankets, etc.

When should we arrive to get great seating and where is the great seating, up front??

Will there be a long line to get in or does everyone filter in as they arrive?

Any great food/drink that is repeated year to year?

Inquiring minds want to know the SoWal Scoop!! ;-)

doors are at five. people do get there at doors to scope out their seat locations. do bring LOW BACK chairs and blankets, and hats, and mittens... never know. Watercolor does an excellent job with F & B, please do not bring your own. and, during intermission, they hand out s'mores fixin's at the fire pits. there will be seperate programs for children during the event, hosted by Camp Watercolor. check the website for more info.

And, go by Cerulian's for a view of our DVD from last year's winners.

Thanks, John! By low back chairs, do you mean sand chairs only? Will regular folding chairs be banned? I'm bringing a group of friends, so want to get this right!

It's going to be in the mid to low 40's on Friday and Saturday nights, so dress warm and bring more than you think you'll need, since you'll be sitting still near the water for around two hours, in your low back chair.

also, full moon is on the 5th, so it's going to nice and bright out there.

stay tuned for some posts about the happenings in Cerulean's over the course of the weekend; breakfast talks by our guest presenters, booksignings, special exhibits brought in exclusively for Mountainfilm, after parties, etc...

and remember, the Mountainfilm '05 loop of 11 films is playing in Cerulean's to wet your whistle.

Mr. BB goes early as possible and sets up chairs. However we usually bring the taller chairs folding chairs (sorry John R) and sit toward the back. There is really not a bad view anywhere. We like being closer to the food and wine:D

It was so cold last year I wore a faux fur hat, gloves and boots. Should have seen the look I got in the hat and boots when we walked over to Fish out of Water for a drink later:shock:

Mr. BB bought us a bunch of the shoe and hand warmers, you know the kind hunter's use...they were great, we stayed toasty warm...only thing that got cold was my nose. I bring two blankets for each person....one to drape over the back of the chair, so the draft does not get you from the back and one to drape over your front.

They have the best hamburgers ever and the gumbo was very good. They also had a really good cheese tray. Yummm...getting hungry just thinking about it.

Hope to see everyone there.:welcome:

Bb...y'all sound well prepared! It was so cold last year!!! I ended up eating tons of smores and drinking hot chocolate just to keep warm! I agree that the food was extra good and seemed to be priced well.

Building the venue today, drop by and say hello if you're in the neighborhood.

The ILCP show got here yestrday and was installed last evening at Cerulean's, go by there for a sneak peek, and a cup of joe(get it?). If you haven't seen the DVD yet, it's playing also.

Another show being installed tonight, and then another on Friday.
