John Ritter's part? Funny as in hilarious! So natural and believable.

I thought he was just amazing in that role - so unexpected and not like anything else I ever saw him in!

We giggle through Sling Blade too, especially the part where Dwight Yoakum and his band play that awful song on the front proch!
And John Ritter was the best - bless his heart.

i thought dwight yoakum was excellent - he has some of the best lines, like what the hell you got to be worried about - you're a damn kid !

But my all time favorite for quirky, funny and excellent writing is The Princess Bride! It is a classic and absolutely irresistible.

I love the Princess Bride! We saw that years ago at Gulf Place when it was just starting to be built up. One of their outdoor movies in the summertime. What's that line, I can't remember exactly, where Billy Chrystal says to his wife that mostly dead isn't the same as almost dead (I told you I couldn't remember, but it sure is funny).

I have seen both and loved them as well but for some reason Hero remains my favorite because of the absolutely stunning imagery and colors. If I were a movie director I would be insanely jealous of anyone capable of capturing such beauty seemingly effortlessly. How can one be satisfied with anything less?
