We giggle through Sling Blade too, especially the part where Dwight Yoakum and his band play that awful song on the front proch!
And John Ritter was the best - bless his heart. :sosad:

i thought dwight yoakum was excellent - he has some of the best lines, like what the hell you got to be worried about - you're a damn kid ! :rotfl:

Big Blue - a MUST for everyone who loves the Ocean - amazing cinematography, music and story

A fish called Wanda - best comedy ever!

Hero - most beautiful film ever made IMHO

And as for my junk list:
All the Halloweens, Jurrasic Park, and ANY heist movie

i thought i was the only one who had seen hero - i thought it was very good, have you seen house of flying daggers and crouching tiger hidden dragon (one of my favorites)

Oh, yes, Fargo and While You are Sleeping -- both great movies to stumble upon.

But my all time favorite for quirky, funny and excellent writing is The Princess Bride! It is a classic and absolutely irresistible.

I love the Princess Bride! We saw that years ago at Gulf Place when it was just starting to be built up. One of their outdoor movies in the summertime. What's that line, I can't remember exactly, where Billy Chrystal says to his wife that mostly dead isn't the same as almost dead (I told you I couldn't remember, but it sure is funny).

Miracle Max: There's either mostly dead, or there's all dead. When they're mostly dead, they're slightly alive. When they're all dead, there's only one thing you can do.

Inigo Montoya: What's that?

Max: Check his pockets for loose change.

Or it's pretty close to that. I love that movie! It is jam packed with one-liners. The book was great too.

I have seen both and loved them as well but for some reason Hero remains my favorite because of the absolutely stunning imagery and colors. If I were a movie director I would be insanely jealous of anyone capable of capturing such beauty seemingly effortlessly. How can one be satisfied with anything less?
