I think we're talking about the same one!SGB said:Is this the house on the gulf front just to the east of the condos in Watercolor? If so, I love the architecture of this house too. It was designed by Dawn Thurber.

No, it's not busy-looking at all. I probably did a lousy job of describing it, and I didn't take a photo of it, either.![]()
Maybe if we asked nicely, SJ would do it...![]()
Yes! This is it. Thanks, SJ!Smiling JOe said:Are you refering to the WC three story house on the south side of 30-A, to the east of the Inn? The one that looks like it is prepped for painting?
Well, it looks like stained cedar, but it is located in WaterColor. I will have to check my color charts and see if stained wood is an option for that neighborhood. (you laugh, but I am serious.) I have seen some great looking cedar shake in Watercolor, but it always gets a coat of paint. Always. I also see many mahogany doors in WaterColor which very often get a coat or two of paint. I guess I don't care since it is not my house, but that just seems ridiculously silly.peapod1980 said:Yes! This is it. Thanks, SJ!
And, I'm hoping you don't mean it looks like the siding will be painted...?

Ugh, I hate to hear that. It is such a beautiful color right now, I hate to think paint will cover it!Smiling JOe said:Well, it looks like stained cedar, but it is located in WaterColor. To my knowledge, the painting of the doors is not required, but it is often done. The lime green house, while is kind of cool, looked really great before they painted it. I have yet to see an unpainted completed house in WaterColor.Sueshore said:That does sound CRAZY!!! I think I have seen some nicely stained front doors in WC..maybe in "certain" neighborhoods it is allowed!!!! I am also loving the lime green house across the street....the house, not the price tag!
Okay...what fairytale is that house out of??? I think I could be quite happy, cozy and imaginative living there!!! Oh... and broke!
