Coming from 30-A traveling west, at the stop of Gulf Place - isn't that 393? Turn north and just past Gulf Place on the left is a small shopping center with a mortgage company, real estate co and a couple of other places and Ocean Nails.

Mike does an awesome pedicure!!!

I'm pretty OCD about this, and so is my manicurist. She insists that each client purchases his/her own kit (she gives you a shopping list) so no one is using the same instruments. Whenever I travel, I take a fresh set of tools and insist that the manicurist use them. If they don't agree, I walk out. You can get some nasty diseases at a manicurist/pedicurist.

Yes, you can. My daughter got a fungus that took THREE YEARS to get rid of!! Part of that time, she was pregnant and couldn't take the medication. But, it was a nasty funky thing for sure. I am such a chicken now when it comes to mani/pedi. I just do my own and hope that I don't "get out of the lines" too much!!

I have a long QT (heart rhythm abnormality) which can cause a fatal heart arrhythmia if I take meds such as antifungals (as well as anything with a D, like Tavist-D, Robitussin-D, etc.). So I'm extra picky about where I go. I'd hate to get a fungus and not be able to take any meds to get rid of it. That'd be gross.

I have always done my own...when I was younger, I saw mani/pedi as an unnecessary waste of money. Fast-forward: I am now a "plus-size" with callouses and dry heels, and find it hard to comfortably reach my toes. If I do manage to reach my toes, the next difficulty is that I am now in bifocals, so I often can't see what I'm doing. Lately, my darling hubby  has been kind enough to paint my toenails for me, but he has indicated that it would be okay to pay someone else to do it. So, my birthday is coming up... :D
