I think it isn't a big story (outside the gossip rags) because the people who know the details have had the amazing gall to respect the family's wishes for privacy and not comment or go on the record.

Apparently as I still have heard nothing about taking her off life support or what exactly is going on in the hospital.
Thank God for people who respect family wishes, especially in their industry. If one of my family members were on life support I would have a hard time letting them go at the snap of a finger....no matter if they're beyond help. Spending time with the person can be closure. Of course this has all been speculation which makes this ordeal so hard for those following. This is just horrible.

I have been thinking about her all day long and reading what I can. What has been amazing is reading the comments about what a nice person she is and what a great couple they have been, how nice and down to earth, etc. People telling their stories of brief encounters or vague acquaintance. In a way that has been such a nice tribute and I hope her family someday gets to see those stories. It is the power and drawback of the Internet, all at the same time. I hope the family realizes that many people are collectively holding their breath and feeling their pain, as intrusive as all the "reporting" may be. I think in situations like this that can mean a lot.

Oh! It is just awful.
This makes me so sad. They were a class act as far as Hollywood couples go. I wish this had turned out differently. My heart goes out to the family, especially the children.

I guess what got me so caught up in this story, other than their general awesomeness as a family and her underrated talent, was the fact that Mr. TFT was in a bike accident last Saturday. He broke his collarbone and a couple of ribs and his helmet was cracked in three places -- but his CAT scan was fine. I guess I didn't realize how lucky we were.
yes, a class act. So sad. She had such a beautiful smile.
