A better question is why doesn't the media report the number of Americans dying there. I bet most people don't know how many Americans have died in Afghanistan in the last 20 months.

Right after Obama was elected the daily death tally came off the wallpaper.

Afghanistan was abandoned when we went after Saddam and Iraq. It's not like President Obama "started a new war". He recognized the roots of the terror threat was still, and always had been, in Afghanistan and that area of the world, with Al Queda and the Taliban.

Not that I am thrilled about this war, but if we are going to go after the roots of terror, at least we are looking in the right place in Afghanistan.

Let's publish the death toll- yes. Let's get out of there quickly- yes. Let's be reasonable- YES! We were attacked on 9-11. Bin Laden was provided safe harbor by the Taliban. Bush responded as he should have. Obama continued the initiative.

It isn't bush's/obama's war. It isn't a dem or republican war. It is my war/your war/our war- it affects all Americans.

maybe look in saudi , go get binladen , patrol the region by air , but stop wasting the money that we are now. plus remember obama escalated this war he wanted to fight for some reason. maybe having a war makes a president feel like they will have a great legacy.

I didn't know that Obama had that power over Faux News. Why isn't the "legit" media from Faux News posting the tally?

Of course when you say media, I assume that you meant them?;-)

I agree, except I will always believe that Bush should have finished what he started in Afghanistan before invading anyone else (like Iraq.)

I think that decision will go down in history as one of the biggest leadership screw-ups ever made by a President.

I was starting to think I had been dreaming that we had gone after the Taliban in Afghanistan after 9/11, then kind of forgot about it when Iraq and Saddam became an easier target. Whew.

Nope, we did the Republican thing and sub contracted it out to local war lords.
