Hey everyone!! I was home sick up here in Bean town so I hopped on to look at pictures of home. Nice to see Uncle Timmy causing problems. I am probably not going to get a chance to reply much but after looking at this thread I feel like I need to go look at the coast here to remind myself of why I am willing to live 200 miles from a good indian restaurant...and don't start listing them...I've been to them and you only like them because they are all you have. Say hello to the the sand crabs for me and ***** at a tourist for getting on the dunes in my honor.

oh, hi CJ! we miss you here !!! went to sunset at Grayton - and it was very nice and peaceful and even kind of cool (lots of cloud cover). hope you and family are having fun in beantown. we're coming soon...

Gross! You can tell you're on a Yankee beach when there are no Alabama Crimson Tide tents pitched and Pepsi empties are littering the sand. :rotfl:

 Looks like your just giving people like UTBM and Bamagirl etc. more ammunition. At least UTBM didn't use a political slang. :nono1:
KIMMIFUN - looks like you took that picture from your beach towel on Jones Beach on a Saturday? and that empty Pepsi was near your foot. :D

There are good and bad beaches North and South, so why not just leave it at that? This thread was not what I expected at all from this group, and I am glad some other posters didn't touch it with a 10 ft. pole.

Agreed...if I could settle for any old beach on the weekend I could. Going to the Hamptons is so much funn...but it doesn't happen every weekend. Until then...I go where the tan comes. Right Mango? We need to get together in da city soon! :clap_1:

I'm assuming you are referring to the word "Yankee" as the word Skunkape used as "political slang"? I hardly think he was planning on restarting the Civil War when he used this word.

I have never thought of the word "Yankee" in political terms, only geographical terms. As in, if you live in Mass., you are Yankee. If you live in Chicago, you are Midwestern. If you live in South Carolina, you are Southern.

And if you live in KY like me, you are confused! :rotfl:

Maybe a thread on North/South/Midwestern/West cultural differences would be funny. Quite frankly, the banter about the north and south beaches was pretty humorous.

i always thought anything above the mason/dixon line was considered north....according to you i'm a midwesterner. that sounds so not cool - we need a better word !
