Speaking of off beat names, there is a neurosurgeon in Athens GA whose nickname is Happy. His sir name is Dicks. Can you imagine hearing the page, "paging Dr Dicks to surgeory, Dr Happy Dicks to surgeory please."

There is also a Dr Dong in Athens. Now if they worked in the same office and were urologists, that would be funny.

Wasn't Happy a linebacker legend at UGA in the mid to late '60's? Unless Dr. Dong's first name is Long Duck, I'm not familiar with him.:laughing1

There's an insurance office in town and the agent's name on the sign is
Dick Pugh. I believe I'd go by Richard.

Yes, Happy played at UGA from 1966-1968, and he was a linebacker. Do you know Happy?

I found a link to the Coach Bill Hartman Award which Happy recently received.

Dr. Dong's first name is ... not Long Duck, it is Jing. He's an eye doc.

There is a father in son in Athens whose names are the same, Richard. They both go by "Dick." (I will refrain from using last names). I alway called the father Dick, and one day when I was referring to the son, I called him "Little Dick." His father was a nice man, but Little Dick is a big one. Maybe he has a compex regarding his name.
