I'm sure it was a great reality check for everyone. They sure like volkswagon bugs down there don't they? That is what bashed into our car when we were there. Nasty wreck.

I experienced my first and only earthquake while in Mexico City. Thankfully, no volcanos popped off. That whole city is a timebomb anyway. I think they built it on a lakebed or something.

They did, and the buildings are literally sinking . You've heard of the Leaning Tower Of Piza.. Heck, just about every large building in downtown Mexico City is sinking. We will post some pics to show what we mean but I'm sure they won't do the situation justice.

Funny thing about earthquakes.. the only 2 I've lived been were right here in the Nooga and the last one was 2 years ago (4.5 I think) Lasted for 45 seconds and woke both of us up. Erie feeling that was

Yeah, us southerners can handle hurricanes, tornados and the like, but when the ground starts shaking, that's another situation. No thanks.

I can't believe you said that because we have been joking about that all week. The kids all have some kind of game where you punch somebody when you see a bug "punch buggie, no punch backs" Anyway, after being in MC I am black-and-blue !!

MC is just a constat game of chicken, is it not. We were always in a bus, thankfully, but looking down on all that was amazing! No need for lanes, everybody just goes where they want to .

Sorry to hear about your wreck. Surprisingly we didn't see too many. I figure if you have a wreck you just keep going, it would be to hard to stop & wait for a cop, unless of course there are injuries. That would cause a heck of a traffic jam!

I do plan (with much grumbling from Graytonbound) to travel to other countries. I really want to go to some South American Countries like Coasta Rica (Maybe that's Central America, whatever) Chili, Brazil, etc.
