Exactly! I mean, the guy flies unicorns and slides down rainbows, why can't he fix a darn leaking pipe?

That's the Hall of Justice. Seems though it must have been a formal affair, he went with a suit instead of his cape! :D

Partial list of crisis that Obama inherited: The most devastating economic meltdown in US and, possibly, world history, with unemployment bordering on 10%; a dysfunctional mortgage industry; a deficit of biblical porportions; two extremely complex and incredibly costly wars (with no end in sight);a festering health care crisis; the Israeli/Palestinian crisis; a maniacal North Korean dictator calling for all out war; a maniacal Iranian president calling for the destruction of Israel and vowing to obtain nuclear weapons...

I guess you get the point. I am extremely dissapointed, in hindsight, that he did not follow up on the house-cleaning at MMS, but he has had enough problems out in plain sight that you have to cut him some slack that he didn't go looking for it under every rock in the Federal Beauracracy. I'm wondering just exactly what you Obama-bashers want him to do. If you have a solution, here's a dime, go call the White House. If not, shut the fug up.

>>>FDR, Harry Truman, and Bush all manned up when confronted with unexpected and overwhelming crises, which is why we look back at them with affection and respect. <<<<

Uhh, Sally, for the record.

Japan attacked Hawaii and FDR went to war with Japan.

Some folks in Afghanistan attacked us and Bush went to war with Iraq.

I thought we cleared this up a few years ago.

By your logic, FDR should have invaded...Mexico? :dunno:

Obama supporters, they are a getting a lil' agitat'd these days! I wonder why? "Na sayers, just shut up already!"

You described the job of President of The United States. If your man can't handle the job, get him to step down so someone more capable can step up. ;-)

All sillyness aside, Obama has handled this rather poorly. I don't think anyone can argue against that. Obama's record is still being written, but right now it's not looking very good. He's got a couple more years to turn things around, and his policies and leadership are still being tested. My feeling currently is he will not go down of one of our greater presidents. Time will tell. If he fails, he'll be handing most of the problems you listed down to his successor, who will probably be a republican. Won't that be interesting! Some of the problems will even be worse, like the deficit!

Until then, I sure as heck won't shut up about it though! If you can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen!

President Obama has provided the best leadership we could expect from a Marxist community organizer.

Every 'crisis' he's encountered, President Obama has bravely pointed the finger of blame at the Bush administration in each and every instance.

President Obama has also told us who to hate, who to sue. and to sit down and shut up. He has demonized American doctors, American soldiers, American citizens, American businesses and industries.

President Obama has governed in direct opposition to the distinct and clearly expressed will of the American people.

President Obama has pitted American against American, he points and wags his fingers inciting resentment, creating division and despair.

As to the solution you are looking for I believe it will be coming in November from millions of Americans who are not going to shut the fug up.

Sarawind, I'll ask you as I've asked many people, what exactly was the President to do? I realize that he hasn't activated the Department of Oil Spills, but, oh that's right, we don't have one. Comparing this to Katrina is vastly different. I'll preface the following with the statement that I understand 11 people died on that oil platform and I feel for their friends and families. However, 3 days after the spill started I don't remember tens of thousands of people beginning to starve on national TV. The disconnect here is that we have a government agency designed to be activated at a moments notice to help people in an emergency. I think the proper question is why wasn't BP prepared? It's very telling that conservatives are suddenly concerned that the government isn't stepping in to deal with this. What happened to business doing it's own thing and not being bailed out?

I'm sure John McCain/Sarah Palin would have done the right thing, which is...uh, invade British Petroleum? :dunno:
