Maybe he should have become a pro basketball player instead of the President of the United States. He might have been more successful.

I don't know what standard of success you are using, but by any I can think of he is pretty damn successful.

He is healthy, well educated and traveled, a self-made millionaire, has a loving wife and family, has achieved worldwide fame for good reasons, and is actively improving the world. :dunno:

And I think if you actually research what he is doing and believes in, you will find that you agree with much of it.

Oh well, so much for that. It was meant as tongue-in-cheek but obviously not taken that way. As a human being, he is very successful as are many on this planet. As POTUS, not so much, IMO. And, in regard to your comment, SB44, there are many things he does that I agree with including most of his foreign policy. Overall, his agenda is far from where I want to see this country go. That is what the election of 2010 was about. I don't expect some to accept that it was about policies and methods. I do and you are entitled to read the recent election landslide at both the federal and state level anyway you wish.
I will close with this. If the recently elected officials do not do as they promised while campaigning, they will be gone after the next election as are those whom they replaced.

With all due respect I really hope your generation hits the dirt nap soon. By your logic everyone gets four years and if they don't fix the world their gone? That makes no sense and you might as well get used to right now, because that's what your philosophy is going to leave us stuck in.

You know, wishing someone would die just because you do not agree with their position is a new low. Tacky and classless as well.:bang: And you did not even get his position right. He said politicians who do not follow campaign promises with actions will be replaced the next election. We do not require that all the world's problems be fixed immediately, but we do require effort and keeping promises.

If that is REALLY what the Repubs believe, then why do they continue to elect several of their dead wood over and over and over.....

Keep note of this for your future reference....I can assure you that many of those "new" generation reps will be re-elected next go around EVEN though they will have broken their promises and have become part of the problem.....

Hopefully we as voters are beginning to hold these people accountable. If we do not then we have no one to blame but ourselves.

Many of them are re-elected because they are in "safe" districts just as Rangel and Pelosi are. You make a perfect point for term limits.

So if you start with "all due respect" you can say whatever you want after that?

With all due respect, your generation should sit on it.

That's what I assumed since most of Andy A.'s responses start off that way and then go downhill after that.
