Gibbs says people are voting local issues and has nothing to do with the administration. That's how delusional things have gotten. In time this election will be the turning point of our economic downturn provided the lame duck congress doesn't inflict more damage.

Sometimes polititicans end up having to do the right thing, even if it is not popular at the time--it called guts.

Fortunately, Healthcare Reform is settled law-- Republicans will end up in the awkward position of explaining to their constituents why they were against it before they were actually for it.

The fact that someone would vote for County Commissioner, Supervisor of Elections, or Mosquito Control Board based on the candidates support or opposition of Health Care Reform simply means that the masses are waaaaaaay dumber than I previously thought.

It way dumber to think the disdain for the current admin won't affect elections even at the mosquito control level. It's called making a statement and this will be one of the biggest statements delivered in a long long time. Progressives & Liberals will choke on it.

I just voted SWGB, and I voted for the best qualified person in each of those categories, I really didn't care if they liked the Health Care Plan or not...So all of those masses (Republicans, I guess you are referring too) aren't dumb... we are thinking about, researching, and READING so that our vote does the right thing. Only wish some of our elected folks in Congress took the same steps when voting.

I don't know Mr. Hendrix, but I can assure you that the other two candidates are conservative.
