The tailfin era of automobile styling encompassed the 1950s and 1960s, peaking between 1957 and 1960. It was a style that spread worldwide, as car designers picked up styling trends from the US automobile industry where it was the golden epoch of American autodesign. Wonder what other things happened oh the 1960's that could validate your thoughts? Mmm
With the exception of the terrible mistake known as the Vietnam War, the 1960s were our country's golden era. Much needed change was brought about with the civil rights act. Young people rejected the idea of being treated as sheep to be slaughtered by the high lords of the military industrial complex. It was for sure a golden era of enlightenment.
[Edit] BTW, I think most cars from the 50s looked awful, in no small part due to those ridiculous tailfins.
[Second Edit] If quoting Wikipedia verbatim is what it takes to give your posts a modicum of lucidity, please keep at it. It is by far preferable than having to read your usual semi-literate incoherent babble.
