Alright Gulls (doubt the guys will have much input) I have been invited to have dinner tomorrow night with the designer Kay Unger!!!  She is one of my very favorite designer for evening wear and cocktail dresses and somehow I have ended up going to dinner with her! What the heck should I wear?!

If you are not sure who she is just look at all the major department stores Neimans, Bloomingdales, Nordstroms, Saks and look at evening wear. If you remember the dresses I was showing y'all for last New Years eve...several of those were hers.

How funn is this gonna be?!:clap::clap: Think I can talk her into designing me a spectacular pink gown?!

Obviously you are concerned about what to wear due to who is going to be there, being that you admire her designs, which I can certainly understand, I love her clothing line.

However, you are a savvy, professional woman, and you need to wear what you would wear to a dinner at someone's house if "she" was not going to be there.

Black dress pants and a fabulous top are always appropriate and of course the appropriate bling.

I have a many Kay Unger ensembles that I've bought for weddings. One is black (love black) with a pink jacket and pink jewels and "stuff" attached to the skirt. BB, that would have been you, from what I have gathered about your preferences.

As an aside, NM is my home away from home -- call Neiman's in ATL and ask them where I am if I'm not getting a cell phone signal -- LOL -- and they'll find me.

That being said, you need to wear Kay Unger if you are going to a Kay Unger event at NM. Everything they have online is under $600. So even if you hate it, if it's your color (pink -- LOL), it'll be under $600. So, no problem! If you are an InCircle member, they will roll over and do flips to help you, as they have done with me for ages.

No this is a small dinner party at someone's home, Kay is an old friend of a friend of mine and Kay is in town doing a trunk show at Saks.

BB, dress like your 'tar!;-)

That's what I'm thinking! :D Think I can get my hair that high?
