Good soap! Always Italian or French triple milled. Or homemade like the kind SmileyJ makes. Or what you can buy down at Gulf Place.

great thread aleonardo! we haven't done a product thread in a while. and i love products. some of my favorites of all time:

renee furterer hair products - once you find the right one for your hair (shampoo and conditioner) you can never use anything else. hard to find around here though. Eduardo, and Rolland's.

trish mcevoy make-up - I use only trish make up and brushes, etc. love love love it. and also love knowing I can go to one place to get the stuff, and they have organizers to keep it all in one place - like a planner that zips, opens like a book, and has plastic "pages" that house the products. cannot live without it. so happy to never step foot in another department store for make up or have to order online. I go to Destin Antiaging clinic for facials, and my facial person gives me makeovers so I can play with the new products, etc. twice per year, they have Trish experts come in to do facials and showcase new products. (after years of searching for the right products in lancome, clinique, mary k, and every other product, finally found the right one for me and I'm sticking to it).

Obagi skin care products. my skin has never been better and so I've relied on this skin care system for about 4 years. my before/after photos are testament. I add other products on top of it as well, prevage and other nutrient-products.

Soap Pedaler soaps. we go through these at my house. we also have family members addicted to it so we have to keep them stocked as well.

Archipelago lotions, hand wash, bath wash, etc. very fresh and nice.

oh! I love products!

Daughter is a BareMinerals junkie. I adore Bobbi Brown products.

I'm getting my hair straightened in two weeks so that my hair will always look grayt at the beach. :clap:I am so excited. The down side is that the herbal straightenings only lasts 3 months -- longer if you don't wash your hair everyday (can we say stinky?).

On a related note, someone was on the Today Show this week talking about how often to replace your makeup. Mascara 6 weeks. I can deal with that. But they said makeup brushes every 6 weeks? Get out of town -- I have hundreds of dollars worth of Bobbi Brown brushes -- can't afford to replace them every 6 weeks!

let us know how this straightening thing works.

expensive make up brushes should last forever with proper care. they had better or I'm :pissed:

Mermaid, thanks for the plug, but soap isn't a moisturizer for the skin. My soap does have the glycerin, which will help moisturize, but for a relaxing soak in the tub (and I used to make all kinds of products for baths), I'd recommend a sachet of powdered milk and 5-10 drops of lavender or bergamot essential oil. Personally, the lavender is more relaxing. The milk will leave your skin feeling beautiful. On that note, as tempting as it is to remain in a hot bath all day, limit yourself to no more than twenty minutes, and your skin will love you more.

This guys recipe is :

1. An abundance of water.

2. Bottle of Na-PCA with Aloe (natural moisturizing factor in all human skin--at Wholefood $8.99 an 8 oz. bottle). Spray it all over you face in the AM and just let it dry!

3. Kiehl's facial moisturizers are great, but pricey>>>Kiehl's | Welcome
Guys wash their faces?!?:dunno:

edit that above post -- you don't really need a fancy sachet for the powdered milk and lavender eo. I used to package the powdered milk and lavender blooms in the sachets, and that word just popped out. Just put a couple of table spoons of powdered milk into the baths with the lavender eo. Another e.o. which I really like for relaxation is ylang ylang. Note -- you can find fragrance oils for about half the price of essential oils, but e.o.s are worth the money if the oil is going on your skin.

Also, some literature cautions against using certain essential oils when pregnant. Lavender is one which I've seen noted to avoid during pregnancy, and some literature instructs to avoid it during only the early months of pregnancy. I've also read notes that due to its relaxing properties, that some people with low blood pressure may feel a bit drowsy after using Lavender e.o.
