Daughter is a BareMinerals junkie. I adore Bobbi Brown products.

I'm getting my hair straightened in two weeks so that my hair will always look grayt at the beach. :clap:I am so excited. The down side is that the herbal straightenings only lasts 3 months -- longer if you don't wash your hair everyday (can we say stinky?).

On a related note, someone was on the Today Show this week talking about how often to replace your makeup. Mascara 6 weeks. I can deal with that. But they said makeup brushes every 6 weeks? Get out of town -- I have hundreds of dollars worth of Bobbi Brown brushes -- can't afford to replace them every 6 weeks!

I have makeup brushes that I've owned for YEARS! And have yet to suffer any ill effects. Sounds like an easy attempt to sell more brushes!:bang:

I've read that you can keep those for years if you wash them regularly. I use a mild shampoo and water and then lay them out to dry on a towel after rinsing well.:D

This guys recipe is :

1. An abundance of water.

2. Bottle of Na-PCA with Aloe (natural moisturizing factor in all human skin--at Wholefood $8.99 an 8 oz. bottle). Spray it all over you face in the AM and just let it dry!

3. Kiehl's facial moisturizers are great, but pricey>>>Kiehl's | Welcome

I've heard about Kiehl's but never tried it. I'll have to find some samples. Thanks, I'm working on the water thing:D

That's what I do.

Hubby loves Kiehl's. I like their shampoo and conditioners, but it is pricey. My colorist recommends Redken "Soft" as a less pricey option.

For Real?? I never knew that.

I don't have curly or terribly wavy hair but I have chin-length, course, slightly wavy hair that poofs to about 10 times it's normal size once it hits wind and/or humidity. I mean huge! I use great products, take very good care of my hair, regular trims, but the humidity has always been a real killer. (I've even had people comment on it.) I never, never knew that straightening it would help.

I get the "poufs" too in high humidity:blink:

Yes, my hairdresser swears by it. I am so tired of flat-ironing and then hitting the Florida humidity and having my hair frizz up. :bang: I have used every product that he can think of, and none of it works for me at the beach. He gets it -- he owns more than one property in SoWal.
