In the real world...

One of my favorite things to do is to let the people that offer advice on how they think you should be doing it watch the kids for a day(its usually people without kids or those trying to make up the mistakes they made by giving you advice that makes you feel like a loser-like common sense info as if you already didn't know that). That way you get a break and it gives you a chance to take a pic of their face at the end of their day with the energizer bunny! Note- make sure their day is already packed when you ask them and hopefully they haven't slept in a week like you- we only want real-life simulations here...
Whats with the kids having all the energy? Is it because they get to play all the time and we have to work all the time? Still trying to figure that one out.
Signed, worn out also

You are over thinking this. Discipline is a pain in the butt but it is your friend once they figure out that there are rules and they will have more funn following them.

Pools are the best, put the swim floatie arm things around the neck to keep the head above water.
Teach the child to fetch your favorite beverage that'll keep her busy for hours!

Have her dig a hole in the yard. You can always have her fill it back in later.

Go to seaside and let her run with the other kids while you and the other parental units look on from the benches.

Oh swgb. You're doing better than most parents, I would imagine--nevermind, I can't begin to imagine this whole situation--love conquers all--good luck buddy.

I've now become a stay at home mom with an absentee husband. 4pm today I get an e-mail advising me that he's running late and will most likely meet us at the play. Tonight the munchkin asks for a bed time story and DS doesn't budge.

This is all horribly ironic since DS is the one that wants kids, I'm good with several weeks a year.
