Oh, yeah, for photographs, go to Deer Lake State Park. This is a photo of sand at the park, not snow!

Great photo BR :clap_1: . I stay close to Deer Park and haven't gone, but will next time. :D Post a few more.

:welcome: Classic first post!

Two words: RED BAR. Crab cakes on Fridays and Saturdays. Great food the rest of the week also. Nice food, music and funn. The 331 for more funn.

Photo ops are literally everywhere. Any and all of the state parks and coastal dune lakes are stunning.

Everything is for the tourists, but it's for the locals too -- there is not a line between "tourist places" and "local places." Yeah, sometimes you have to choose between expensive and more expensive, but that's the price of Paradise as they say. I would consider making reservations for A Fish Out of Water in WaterColor for a weeknight white-linen special treat. Not every night of course, but it is your honeymoon after all. :clap_1:

Ah yes. A big DUH on the Red Bar, although I forgot to list it. If memory serves, I'll be just up the street from it.

Free internet wi-fi in Grayton at Hibiscus Cafe and Guest House, next to Pandora's. Go there for breakfast - great coffee, good food, and wonderful people.

D&K's will not be reopened by the time you arrive.

On another note, the wine and tappas bar in Seaside hopes to be open within the next two weeks. They are waiting on a plumber -- do you guys know how to plumb pipes? :funn:

I guess I should clarify. I know these have probably gone largely out of fashion, since everyone has their wi-fi laptops now, but I haveth not such a thing. I'd be looking for a place with an actual computer to use. :D

Not a problem. The SoWal branch library can hook you up -- limited to one hour per sitting. Also, free computers and internet available at Beach Java in Seagrove and Miss Lucile's Gossip Parlor in Gulf Place. ;-) You may also be able to slip into the room at WaterColor Inn, located through the main entrance and to the left. I like to think of it as the library.

Grayton has a Starbucks now. Not sure if they offer Internet access there, but I see people with laptops all the time. You can also plug into the phone jack and just look up the local (Niceville) number for AOL. That's what we do, since we don't have high-speed cable at the Grayton house.

For a beautiful evening out, take your new bride to dinner at A Fish Out of Water at WaterColor. Yes, Seagrove Market Cafe is still there and still very good for what they serve. Publix is wonderful and there is an excellent wine shop in the shoppette just around the corner. Modica Market still tops for specialty foods and friendly owners. Spend some time browsing at Sun Dog Books at Seaside. Pay a visit to The Larder over in western Seagrove. And enjoy a wonderful casual dinner at Grayton's Borago, which I believe to be the best restaurant on 30A.

Congratulations on your impending marriage!
