He fought a good fight against a bastard of a disease. Pancreatic cancer is pretty much always bad news. This is personally poignant as the husband of one of Fuzz's co-workers - 48 years old, graduated from Walton High with Fuzz - is battling it now. By the time you get symptoms, bounce around from doctor to doctor with delays between appointments complaining that your stomach hurts BAD, and they finally diagnose it, too much time for an early cure has passed.

RIP, Patrick Swayze...:sosad:

That's a real shame. It is a death sentence for sure. Would like to think co-worker might get spared.

I really liked Patrick Swayze the actor and he seemed like a decent guy. My mom died of pancreatic cancer and it's a tough one. She lived 5 months after diagnosis. It's almost impossible to beat, but a very small percentage of people seem to beat it at least for a while.

.

 Sorry for your loss. That must have been rough.

Did any of you ever see the movie Waking Up In Reno, with Charlize Theron and Billy Bob Thorton? Hillarious Arkansas couples vacationing in reno to attend the Monster Truck Jam. Hillarious

no, I never saw this, and there are some others I never saw. I will have to make a point to do so.

They were very blessed to have each other, love such as theirs is rare. The Barbara Walters interview is very, very moving, definitely a tissue moment.

"A relationship survives because of keeping the friendship alive and learning how to fall in love over and over again and never taking the other person for granted and seeing things in a new light with new eyes," Patrick said in 2007. "We're big believers in, arguments are okay as long as it's not about your ego, but it's about a mutual goal -- trying to create something special.":love:

Thanks Minnie - it was bittersweet to look at photos and read about their lives together.:sosad::sosad: But worth it.

I wonder how Lisa is doing?

RIP, Patrick. Bless those you left behind.

Allifunn, this was my alltime favorite movie of his. I loved this scene also. It saddens me so much to think he is gone. I however, did love Roadhouse and Ghost was my second favorite. Patrick, you will be greatly missed,, may you rest in peace. You now are no longer suffering.
